Sketch from aborted April fool's entry; I would've begun discussing the radical departure that Patrick in look and feel and how that would effect future Dicebox.

Hey there, just wanted to drop a line and say hi. Got linked to Dicebox via a friend sometime around August last year and I've really enjoyed it. I do look forward to seeing more of it. :)

Also, regarding the image in this post, I had a sudden confluence of images in my head. Griffin in her suit with the cigar suddenly became the cigar-chomping Katie Sackhoff from the recent Battlestar Galactica. Like, 'what if Starbuck actually put on nice clothes' sort of thing. At least the way Griffin is drawn there, anyway. Otherwise Sackhoff doesn't have that lean look about her that Griffin does.

Again, I've enjoyed the comic and have enjoyed reading your process journal on it. Cheers!

There is something about a cigar smoking dame, ain't there? It pleased me to see Starbuck with a stogie in BSG--I didn't make the connection with Patrick's inclusion of the same for Griffen til you mentioned it. Amused as in teh 80s it was quite a thing to have women in comics--especially sci-fi-- to smoke cigars.
